A little about me...
I grew up in Ottawa, Ontario and following high school I headed east to Halifax where I graduated with an Honours Bachelor fo Science degree in Kinesiology (HBScKIN) from Dalhousie University. I returned to Ontario for physio school, completing a Masters in Science in Physical Therapy (MScPT) from the University of Toronto. Four years into clinical practice I decided to advance my training my obtaining a Masters in Clinical Science Manipulative Therapy (MClSc MT) from Western University. I was extremely proud to become a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manual and Manipulative Physical Therapists (FCAMPT) in 2009.
I have a passion for teaching, and am deeply invested in teaching and mentoring at the University entry-level Physiotherapy program, and at the post graduate level.
I am an Assistant Professor, teaching stream, co-leading the Advanced Musculoskeletal Unit in the Masters of Science, Physical Therapy program, MScPT, in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto. I teach and mentor within both the Orthopedic Divisions’ Advanced Integrated Manual (AIM) program and Western University’s post-graduate Advanced Health Care Practice Graduate Program (ACHP) within the CMP Field. I am also part of the teaching team for Integrated Dry Needling, a dry needling couse developed by Canadian Physiotherapists, for Canadian Physiotherapists.
When I am not in the clinic or classroom, I can be found with my family riding bikes, climbing indoors or cross country skiing.
